The principles of the present Convention shall be：
（ａ） 固有の尊厳、個人の自律（自ら選択する自由を含む。）及び個人の自立の尊重
（a） Respect for inherent dignity, individual autonomy including the freedom to make one's own choices, and independence of persons;
（ｂ） 無差別
（b） Non‐discrimination;
（ｃ） 社会への完全かつ効果的な参加及び包容
（c） Full and effective participation and inclusion in society;
（ｄ） 差異の尊重並びに人間の多様性の一部及び人類の一員としての障害者の受入れ
（d） Respect for difference and acceptance of persons with disabilities as part of human diversity and humanity;
（ｅ） 機会の均等
（e） Equality of opportunity;
（ｆ） 施設及びサービス等の利用の容易さ
（f） Accessibility;
（ｇ） 男女の平等
（g） Equality between men and women;
（ｈ） 障害のある児童の発達しつつある能力の尊重及び障害のある児童がその同一性を保持する権利の尊重
（h） Respect for the evolving capacities of children with disabilities and respect for the right of children with disabilities to preserve their identities.
